Mystic is accessible from I-95, exit 90. There are several national chain motels including Comfort Inn, Days Inn, Howard Johnson, Hilton and Ramada Inn as well as a number of fine locally owned establishments. Old Mystic Motor Lodge and The Seaport Motor Inn are two of the better ones.
Places to Eat
For fast food, look around the I-95, exit 90 area. Most of the national chains are located here. For great local fare try Bravo Bravo (20 Main Street) in the Whaler’s Inn or the Flood Tide Restaurant located in the Inn at Mystic. The Steak Loft in Old Mystic Village is a nice, casual dress, family restaurant worth a visit.
Places to Go
The Mystic area is loaded with things to see and do! The Mystic Marinelife Aquarium (I-95 exit 90) has over 50 exhibits, a Penguin Pavilion and a 1,400-seat Marine Theatre. Mystic Seaport Museum is another must stop! You’ll find 17 acrea of historic homes, shops and trade buildings that display life in a 19th century seaport. Take a half-day or sunset cruise… Voyager Cruises leaves from Steamboat Wharf downtown Shopping is an adventure at the Olde Mistick Village (I-95 exit 90) with 60 specialty shops and restaurants set in a Colonial New England atmosphere. For something entirely different, try your luck at Foxwood Casino Resort just a few minutes away in Ledyard.
Getting Around
Mystic is a seaport town located on the Atlantic Ocean. I-95 runs just to the north of town. Exits 89, 90 and 91 will get you into the Mystic area. US Route 1. which runs parallel to I-95 passes through Mystic.

The Mystic Seaport Museum
Mystic Seaport is an outdoor maritime museum that tells the stories of America and the sea. The Museum exhibits historic tall ships and small boats, a New England coastal village and extensive collections of art, shipmodels and artifacts. This is a very nice website with lots of information about the Mystic Seaport Museum – The Museum of America and the Sea.
